The Hispagnola Academy of Sciences of Haiti (HASH) is the main Haitian private body responsible for encouraging and coordinating scientific research and promoting its application in rural and urban areas of Haiti. Much of the research and development done by the Hispagnola Academy of Sciences of Haiti is determined by the interest or importance of the Haitian private and public sector. However, HASH will also undertake funded research projects, which can be contracted by individuals, private companies or multinational agencies including national and international organizations.

Research projects will include:

  • Processing of agricultural products
  • The Use of Local Medicinal Plants during Coronavirus in Haiti
  • Transformation of sugar cane into alcohol in the St-Michel and Pignon regions
  • Research on the transformation of Vetiver into perfume in the south of Haiti
